Quick and Easy Anxiety Release

How often do you find yourself struggling with anxiety?

Would you like to learn a quick and easy technique to stop anxiety in it’s tracks?

Read on . . .

Stimulate Your Vagus Nerve.

What’s the vagus nerve?

The vagus nerve is the main component of the parasympathetic nervous system (the system that calms you down through controlling your relaxation response).

The vagus nerve travels from the brain stem and spreads throughout different parts of the body including the vocal chords, lungs, heart, stomach, intestines and the hormone producing glands that influence your digestion, metabolism and relaxation response.

When you stimulate the vagus nerve you activate the relaxing pathways of your parasympathetic nervous system This causes the fight or flight response that’s travelling through the sympathetic nervous system to shut down.

In other words, you interrupt the current that’s creating the anxiety whilst simultaneously triggering a current that brings relaxation.

It’s super easy to do, here’s how –

The valsalva maneuver

  • Take a deep deep breath
  • Hold your breath and ‘push down’ in your body like if you were forcing a bowel movement
  • do this for as long as you can
  • you’re head may feel buzzy and you may get red in the cheeks!

That’s it!

Try it!
